Sentence Per Picture, South of the Border Edition

Dug out my passport for a road trip today. 
Getting into Mexico is as easy as pushing through the turnstile.
Picked up my cousin and drove on down to Lobster town, Puerto Nuevo. 
Cousin Patty is an awesome tour guide. 
She knows the best place to eat lobster in Lobster town. 
The tortillas here are as big as a car tire and they are HOME MADE. (With love lard, obviously.)
 My Mom is happy she's about to eat some lobster too!
 Started off with chips & guacamole and then a bowl of tortilla soup.
 The star of the show
 We tore it up.
The view is unbeatable, que no? 
 In both directions.
 A post-meal walk through the tiny town of Puerto Nuevo.
 Picked up some calaveras and catrinas to add to my Dia de Los Muertos altar.
Q. How do you say Diet Coke in Spanish?
Guanabana ice cream from a road side stand: Fighting cancer deliciously. 
 Stopped at a small fishing village named Popotla on the drive home.
The seals came out to play with us! 
 We bought a fresh-caught fish
 And fed the seal.
Driving back to the US took about 45 minutes. Not too bad!
Getting out of Mexico is not as easy as getting in.  
 Spent the last of our Mexican money
 On a snack to tide us over until we got back to LA.

Now I'm home, exhausted, watching The Biggest Loser.

I'm cringing every time the losing team has to eat whatever crappy food is on display for the challenges. I think it's cruel.

  1. Those are some good looking tortillas! Now I'm hungry for home made tortillas! and the guacamole looks excellent!! Sounds like a wonderful trip!

    I'm not a fan of TBL so wasn't even aware of any changes.
