It Takes a Village

Sometimes they humor me, and sometimes I get this.
I went out for a run Tuesday night while the Puff was at her bimonthly Church activity. It didn't feel great. I stopped a ton and it took me a lot longer than it normally does. One of my girlfriends sent me this message:
I was so happy to know that I was missed, and that someone(s) would be coming for me if I were to be in trouble. I love my peeps.

Last night's run might not have happened at all if Val hadn't reached out to me to go for a mid-week run. After Tuesday's lame run, I didn't have high hopes for a good run. I ended up doing 3.13 miles, just a little bit faster than the run on Tuesday.
Some days it really feels like other people are more invested in my running that I am.

Thank goodness for the village because this runner would not be able to keep it together all by herself.

I remembered to bring my headlamp and pepper spray on our evening run this time.

Val showed off his new "Bodega" socks.
I laughed because I knew exactly what he was talking about.
I'm a 100% Injinji girl myself, but he says the Bodegas Balegas were awesome.

Have a great weekend and GOOD LUCK to all those running races this Sunday!
