Q. If a Runner Falls In the Woods...

Q. If a runner falls in the woods city, and no one is around to witness it, does that runner still suffer humiliation?
A. YES. Unequivocally.

I'm beyond happy that I finally got in run today with my favorite run buddy Val. Neither of us had run in about 3 weeks. We seem to be on the same (lack of) motivation cycle. Today we were both determined to get a run in and were out the door by 5:30am. On a Saturday. Psychopaths are we.

Four miles at a 12:48 pace. And a banged up knee and scraped up elbow to show for it.

Post-run breakfast at a local diner Jack's for the win:
Local diner food is absolutely the BEST:
Later on, BD (baby daddy) invited us out for a bike ride. I really love it when we can do active things together. BD isn't always one to suggest this kind of thing, so I will always take him up on this kind of offer.

It was a beautiful day in So Cal and we rode for about 6 miles before the Puff had had enough. I hope we can do this more often in the future.

Capped the day off with one last regular season Dodger game. I can't believe the season is over already, and I know April 2016 can't come soon enough.
O'Shea Jackson was MC-ing the game. He was great!
We had free tickets to the game and were so grateful to be able to use them!

The Last Supper of Dodger Dogs until next April. With the works!

The view of the LA skyline from Dodger Stadium is one of the best around. It doesn't get more spectacular than this (see those clouds? There's a rumor it might rain here tomorrow!):
i puffy heart LA
After the game, we stopped by Olvera Street to pick up a night cap: Tamales & champurrado. YUM.

Just another perfect Fall Saturday in the City of Angels. I hope yours was great!

  1. I miss going to ball games! I haven't been to one in a few years. I think I need to make that happen next year...maybe a game/race combo! :)
I hate falling while running, it seems that for me if it happens its always during a great run. Then it turns....not so great!
