A love-hate relationship

I just got done posting about how unhappy I am with RunKeeper and need to terminate our relationship. But then...this morning I saw this message on my phone:
It was that "I know you'll rock it" comment that got me. I was like, "Awww, you really think so?" Ok then, RunKeeper, I'll give you another chance. Sheesh...i'm way too easy (TWSS).
I packed my clothes and planned for a run while at work. I wasn't sure whether to take my run to the streets or the treadmill, so I decided to do both. I ran a mile to the gym, hopped on the treadmill for 2 miles and then ran a mile back to the office.
Along the way I stopped for a sandwich at Subway. It was necessary.

Two miles at 12:00/mi pace and 2 more at 11:58/mi pace. It felt great. Yes, I did "rock it".

I know it's not going to end well between me and RunKeeper. Besides the major f*ck up with my numbers from the other day, I have no idea how to make the training program set to the days I want to run...and a million other things I wish it would do differently. And I actually paid to upgrade to the Elite package! :(

RunKeeper feels a lot like my last relationship. Some good...but mostly baaaad.
Oh well. I'll keep being a masochist for now.

  1. Those nudges from workout apps always feel so passive aggressive to me! I always want to turn off notifications when I get them haha.

  2. During the summer I always split my long runs up between outdoors and the treadmill - it provides such a nice little change-up mid run. Plus, during the summer it's just too freakin hot out for me to do a long run outside. I'm too slow to get it done before the sun comes up! haha

Breakup with RunKeeper, get on Twitter and I'll send you little encouraging tweets every day :)
