Work has been busier than usual lately, I haven't been able to blog as much as I'd like. Luckily both my running AND my life outside of work is slow enough that it won't take much for me to get all caught up.
On Thursday I had to take my run to the gym because the rainstorm that was predicted to roll in around midnight instead showed up at 10am.
Gotta love it when I'm the only dork in the world wearing white pants and sandals on a rainy day.
What run keeper wanted me to run:
What I ran instead: 1 mile at 12:09, 2 miles at 11:10 and that's it. I bagged that last slow mile.
At some point during the movie my eyeball decided to burst a blood vessel and I walked out of the theater with a hematoma in my eye. RANDOM!!!! See how my eye is perfectly normal in the pic above? Not anymore. I’ll refrain from posting a picture, but it’s pretty gross!
A doctor friend I met up with later Friday evening looked at it & said it may have happened because I rubbed my eye too hard or it could also be from having high blood pressure. Um, holy sh!t. I don't recall rubbing my eye that hard sooo.....it's high blood pressure?!?!?
I spent all day Saturday sure that my heart rate was skyrocketing out of control. I was supposed to run 4 miles per RunKeeper but I decided my poor heart just couldn't handle it. ha ha
Instead I hung out at home with 8 loads of laundry, my awesome slippers and a S&TC marathon on Oxygen channel.
I miss that show!!! I can watch every episode a gazillions times over and not get sick of it, although the watered-down TV version requires a lot of filling in from my own memory. And Samantha's character is all but cut out entirely. If you've only seen the edited-for-TV version you definitely don't know Samantha.
This morning I have a 7 miler on the books that I am supposed to run at an 11:20-11:40 pace. Not sure why I'd be expected to hit that pace since I only ever run my long runs at over 12:00 min/miles. Oh well, here goes nothing!
